The minor football championship continued when DLS travelled to Ferrybank in the 2nd round of the 'A' division and it was the local side that came out on top with a 2-8 to 0-9 score.
Leading by a point after an even first half the game was won in a three minute spell with goals from substitute Eric Corcoran and wing forward Shane Reid. Further points from Corcoran and Eoin Haberlin gave us a seven point lead midway throught the half. DLS came looking for the vital scores but our defence under the guidance of Shane O'Sullivan and Tommy Carew held out.
